Weekend Cooking

"Downstairs, Susan had a full cooked breakfast on the go, with sausage spitting in the pan and floured tomatoes sizzling beside them, eggs and toast and juice and coffee that smelled sharp and rich and heavenly and brought my eyes more fully open."

I've never fried tomatoes. I'm trying to imagine the taste. This seems like a good recipe. I would like to try it.http://allrecipes.com/recipe/red-juicy-herb-fried-tomatoes/

  2. I'm not a fan of fried tomatoes but maybe with herbs and cheese they'd be yummy and after that quote I really feel like a cooked brekky. I love Susanna Kearsley's writing!

  3. I've enjoyed a few of Kearsley's novels, but haven't read The Rose Garden yet. I hope you enjoy both of your books.

  4. That breakfast sounds amazing. I love tomatoes fried in lots of butter, and with lots and lots of black pepper. The combination of the syrupy tomatoe juices, butter and pepper is pretty darn good.
